This document sets out the standard terms applicable to distance purchases made through Scale-A-Ton Elements.
Information shown in square brackets will be completed using the relevant seller, buyer and order details. A completed copy of the agreement will be supplied electronically following successful payment confirmation.

International transit estimates begin after export customs clearance and entry into international transportation.
The applicable prices, discounts, shipping charges and taxes are those presented to and accepted by the Buyer during checkout.
ARTICLE 3 – SUBJECT OF THE AGREEMENT
3.1. This Agreement governs the distance sale of the physical products identified in Article 2 through the Scale-A-Ton Elements online store.
3.2. Before purchase confirmation, the Buyer is provided with the relevant product characteristics, prices, payment conditions, shipping arrangements, cancellation information and refund policies.
3.3. The product descriptions, accepted order summary and applicable Terms & Conditions provide additional information concerning the purchase.
3.4. This Agreement does not remove or limit any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable to the transaction.
ARTICLE 4 – PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS AND STOCK AVAILABILITY
4.1. Scale-A-Ton Elements supplies specialist accessories for scale modelling, manufactured using high-resolution 3D printing.
4.2. Products offered for immediate purchase are supplied from available inventory. Stock quantities are maintained through the online store’s inventory management system.
4.3. The standard checkout does not accept purchases of out-of-stock products or backorders.
4.4. Product pages identify the intended modelling scale, compatible kits and included components.
4.5. Unless a product description states otherwise, accessories are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Model kits, tools and demonstration materials shown in photographs are not included.
4.6. Minor manufacturing variations may occur, provided they do not materially compromise the product’s description, intended function or conformity.
4.7. In the exceptional event of an inventory discrepancy, the Seller will contact the Buyer and offer an appropriate alternative or a full refund.
ARTICLE 5 – PRICES AND PAYMENT
5.1. Product prices are displayed in US dollars (USD) unless another transaction currency is expressly indicated.
5.2. Product prices, applicable discounts, shipping charges, taxes and other amounts collected by the Seller are presented before the Buyer confirms payment.
5.3. Electronic payments are processed through the payment service provider identified during checkout.
5.4. A generated order number alone does not establish successful payment. Payment is confirmed when the relevant transaction has been successfully processed.
5.5. A card issuer or financial institution may apply its own currency conversion rates or transaction charges.
5.6. If a payment attempt fails, the order will not be treated as paid. The Buyer may retry payment or contact customer support.
ARTICLE 6 – ORDER ACCEPTANCE AND CONFIRMATION
6.1. Following order submission, the Buyer may receive an electronic acknowledgement of the transaction.
6.2. A successfully paid order is accepted for fulfilment, subject to exceptional circumstances such as an inventory discrepancy or a legal restriction preventing shipment.
6.3. Following payment confirmation, the Seller begins preparing the order for packing and delivery to the postal operator.
6.4. If the order cannot be fulfilled, the Seller will promptly inform the Buyer and provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.
6.5. The Buyer will receive a completed copy of this Agreement electronically in a format that can be saved and retained.
ARTICLE 7 – DELIVERY AND SHIPPING
7.1. Order Processing and Postal Handover
Orders are normally prepared and handed over to the postal operator within 3 business days following successful payment confirmation.
Business days exclude weekends and official public holidays in Türkiye.
The postal handover date is not necessarily the date on which the shipment leaves Türkiye.
7.2. Commercial Export and Customs Processing
All products sold by Scale-A-Ton Elements are commercial goods. International shipments are processed as formal commercial exports from Türkiye and are subject to applicable export and import customs regulations.
Unlike personal parcels, commercial export shipments require additional customs documentation, declarations and clearance procedures.
Following handover to the postal operator, export customs processing may take approximately 5 additional business days before the parcel is released for international transportation.
This processing period is separate from the estimated international postal transit time.
7.3. Estimated International Transit Times
Once export customs clearance has been completed and the shipment has entered international transportation, estimated delivery times are:
- United Kingdom: 7–15 business days
- Europe: 7–20 business days
- United States: 10–20 business days
- Canada: 10–25 business days
- Australia and New Zealand: 10–25 business days
- Other destinations: 10–30 business days
These are indicative international transit estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
Actual delivery may be affected by postal operations, import customs clearance, public holidays and circumstances beyond the Seller’s reasonable control.
7.4. Tracking Information
Shipments are sent using tracked international postal or shipping services where available.
Tracking information will be provided to the Buyer when it becomes available. Tracking events may not immediately reflect every stage of export customs processing.
7.5. Delivery Obligations
The Seller remains responsible for its delivery obligations under applicable law.
The estimated periods in this Article do not override mandatory statutory delivery deadlines or the Buyer’s legal remedies for non-delivery.
ARTICLE 8 – CUSTOMS DUTIES, IMPORT TAXES AND REGULATORY CHANGES
8.1. Commercial Importation
International orders are commercial shipments and may be subject to the import regulations of the destination country.
Available delivery destinations and shipping charges are determined during checkout based on the order and delivery address.
8.2. Charges Collected at Checkout
Where import duties, VAT or other applicable charges are collected or prepaid by the Seller, these amounts will be identified in the order summary or associated checkout information.
Prepayment covers only the charges specifically identified as collected or prepaid.
8.3. Additional Import Charges
Depending on the destination country and the nature or value of the shipment, additional customs duties, import VAT, clearance fees or postal handling charges may apply.
Charges not collected or prepaid at checkout may be assessed by customs authorities or the delivery operator and may be payable by the recipient, subject to applicable law and the Seller’s disclosed obligations.
8.4. Changes in Import Regulations
Customs regulations, tariff rates, import taxes, exemptions and administrative requirements may change following new legislation, government decisions or changes in customs procedures.
Such changes may introduce new charges or modify existing requirements between the purchase date and the date of importation.
The Seller cannot guarantee that destination-country import regulations or charges will remain unchanged during international transportation.
8.5. Customs Documentation and Buyer Cooperation
The Buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact information and cooperating with reasonable customs or delivery requirements.
The Seller is responsible for preparing the export documentation required of the Seller under applicable regulations.
8.6. Customer Information and Legal Rights
Customers are encouraged to review the import requirements applicable to their destination before purchasing.
Any additional charges not expressly collected or prepaid at checkout will be handled in accordance with applicable import rules, contractual disclosures and mandatory consumer protection law.
Nothing in this Article excludes the Seller’s statutory responsibilities or the Buyer’s mandatory legal rights.
ARTICLE 9 – RIGHT OF CANCELLATION
9.1. The Buyer may request cancellation before shipment by contacting the Seller.
9.2. Scale-A-Ton Elements voluntarily offers a 14-day cancellation period beginning on the day after the Buyer receives the goods. During this period, the Buyer may cancel without providing a reason.
9.3. Any longer cancellation period or additional protection required by applicable law will take precedence.
9.4. The Buyer may exercise the cancellation right by sending a clear statement of the decision to cancel to the Seller’s customer service email address.
9.5. The notification should include sufficient information to identify the order.
9.6. Sending the cancellation notification before the applicable deadline is sufficient to exercise the right within that period.
ARTICLE 10 – REFUNDS AND RETURN-FREE RESOLUTION
10.1. Scale-A-Ton Elements does not require customers to return products to Türkiye when exercising an applicable cancellation right or receiving an agreed refund or replacement.
10.2. The Seller voluntarily waives the physical return requirement.
10.3. For a valid cancellation, the Seller will refund the amounts required by applicable law, including the original standard delivery charge where legally required.
10.4. Refunds will be issued without undue delay and within 14 days after receipt of a valid cancellation notification, unless a shorter statutory period applies.
10.5. Refunds will normally be made through the original payment method, without additional refund processing charges imposed by the Seller, unless another lawful arrangement is expressly agreed.
10.6. Once the Seller confirms that no return is necessary, the Buyer may retain or responsibly dispose of the product.
10.7. This return-free policy does not restrict any mandatory consumer rights.
ARTICLE 11 – DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, MISSING OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
11.1. If a product is damaged, defective, incomplete or materially different from its description, the Buyer should contact the Seller using the customer service email address.
11.2. The Buyer is encouraged to provide the order number, a description of the issue and photographs where helpful.
11.3. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the resolution may include replacement components, a replacement product, a partial refund or a full refund.
11.4. Where the problem is the Seller’s responsibility, an agreed replacement will be supplied without additional product or shipping charges.
11.5. The available remedy will respect the Buyer’s applicable statutory rights, including any legally protected choice of remedy.
11.6. The Buyer will not be required to return the affected product to Türkiye.
ARTICLE 12 – UNDELIVERED OR LOST SHIPMENTS
12.1. If a shipment is substantially delayed, lost or not delivered, the Buyer should contact Scale-A-Ton Elements so that the shipment can be investigated.
12.2. Where the Seller is responsible for non-delivery, the Seller will arrange an appropriate refund or replacement in accordance with applicable consumer law.
12.3. The Buyer must provide accurate delivery information and reasonably cooperate with delivery and customs procedures.
12.4. This Article does not limit any statutory rights concerning delivery deadlines, non-delivery or remedies.
ARTICLE 13 – PRODUCT USE AND SAFETY
13.1. Products are intended for scale modelling and should be assembled and handled with appropriate care.
13.2. Products may contain small components that present a choking hazard. They are not intended for young children.
13.3. Buyers should follow any assembly, handling and safety instructions supplied with the product.
13.4. Nothing in this Article excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
ARTICLE 14 – PERSONAL DATA AND PRIVACY
14.1. Personal information supplied during checkout is processed for purposes including order administration, payment processing, invoicing, delivery and customer support.
14.2. Personal information is handled in accordance with the store’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.
14.3. Payment information is processed through the designated payment service provider under its applicable security arrangements.
ARTICLE 15 – COMPLAINTS AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
15.1. The Buyer may contact Scale-A-Ton Elements regarding orders, shipping, cancellations, refunds, product concerns or other customer service matters.
15.2. The Seller will make reasonable efforts to respond promptly and resolve complaints fairly.
15.3. The Buyer retains access to applicable consumer protection authorities, dispute resolution procedures and legal remedies.
ARTICLE 16 – APPLICABLE LAW AND CONTRACT CONFIRMATION
16.1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable to the transaction.
16.2. This choice of law does not deprive the Buyer of protections that cannot legally be excluded under the mandatory laws applicable to the purchase.
16.3. Nothing in this Agreement prevents the Buyer from bringing a claim before a court or authority having jurisdiction under applicable law.
16.4. Before purchase confirmation, the Buyer is given the opportunity to review this Agreement, the applicable Terms & Conditions and the order information.
16.5. Order acknowledgements, payment confirmations, invoices, shipping notifications and other contractual communications may be provided electronically.
16.6. A completed copy of this Agreement will be supplied in a format that the Buyer can save and retain.
16.7. The agreement version applicable to an order is the version made available to the Buyer at the time of purchase.
ARTICLE 17 – CANCELLATION NOTICE TEMPLATE
