This policy explains how Scale-A-Ton Elements handles returns, refunds, damaged items, missing parts, and manufacturing defects.

1. Change-of-Mind Returns
Scale-A-Ton Elements does not offer voluntary returns, refunds, or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases.
Please review the product description, scale, compatibility information, and product contents carefully before placing an order.
If you are uncertain whether a product is suitable for a particular model kit, please contact:

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
2. Damaged, Defective, or Incomplete Orders
If your order arrives:
- damaged during shipping;
- with missing components;
- with an incorrect product or component;
- with a manufacturing defect; or
- materially different from the product description,
please contact [email protected].
Please include:
- your order number;
- a brief description of the problem; and
- clear photographs showing the affected product, component, or shipping damage where applicable.
Customers are requested to report these issues within 14 days of delivery so that the problem can be investigated and resolved promptly.
3. How Problems Are Resolved
Each case is reviewed individually according to the nature of the problem.
An appropriate solution may include:
- replacement of an affected component;
- shipment of a missing component;
- replacement of the affected product;
- another mutually agreed solution; or
- a partial or full refund where appropriate.
For multi-part detail sets, a defect affecting an individual component does not necessarily require replacement or return of the complete set. Where appropriate, the affected component may be replaced separately.
4. Shipping Damage
If a parcel appears visibly damaged when delivered, please photograph the outer packaging before opening it where reasonably possible.
Please also keep the original packaging and damaged contents until the issue has been reviewed, as photographs or other evidence may be required for a postal or courier claim.
Do not discard damaged products or packaging until the case has been resolved.
5. Returns
Please do not send any product back without contacting Scale-A-Ton Elements first.
Because orders are shipped internationally, an unauthorised return may create unnecessary customs charges, import procedures, handling fees, or delivery problems.
If the return of a product is necessary to resolve an accepted claim, return instructions will be provided directly.
The appropriate return procedure and responsibility for return shipping costs will depend on the reason for the return and the circumstances of the case.
6. Refunds
Where a refund is agreed, the amount and refund method will be communicated directly to the customer.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the original payment method, payment service provider, and banking system involved.
Shipping charges, customs duties, import VAT, brokerage fees, and other charges collected by third parties are not refundable by Scale-A-Ton Elements unless required by applicable law or specifically agreed as part of the resolution of a claim.
7. Incorrect Delivery Information and Unclaimed Parcels
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.
If a parcel is returned because of:
- an incorrect or incomplete address;
- failure to collect the parcel;
- refusal of delivery;
- failure to respond to the carrier or customs authority; or
- another circumstance attributable to the recipient,
additional shipping costs may apply before the parcel can be sent again.
Customs charges, return shipping costs, storage fees, or other costs resulting from such circumstances may be deducted from any refund where legally permitted.
8. Product Characteristics That Are Not Normally Considered Defects
Scale-A-Ton Elements products are precision resin scale-model accessories intended for model building.
Depending on the product and manufacturing process, normal preparation may include:
- removal of support contact points;
- light sanding or surface preparation;
- washing or cleaning before painting;
- test fitting;
- minor adjustment during assembly.
Small support contact marks or minor surface variations inherent to the manufacturing process do not necessarily constitute defects.
This does not affect claims concerning genuinely damaged, incomplete, incorrectly supplied, or defective products.
9. Order Cancellation Before Payment
Orders may be cancelled at any time before payment is made.
If you no longer wish to proceed with an unpaid order, please contact Scale-A-Ton Elements or allow the payment period stated in the payment request to expire.
Once a payment has been completed, any request concerning cancellation, return, or refund will be handled according to these Terms, the Terms & Conditions, and any mandatory rights applicable under relevant law.
