Overview
Designed specifically for 1:48 Italeri Wessex and H-34 family kits, the Tail Fold Set recreates the distinctive folded tail configuration with accurate geometry and highly detailed components based on the real aircraft.
Every component is purpose-designed around the Italeri kit, with the original aircraft’s structural details, shapes and functional features faithfully transferred to the model. The result is a highly detailed tail assembly designed to integrate cleanly with the kit while providing the level of definition expected from a dedicated aftermarket set.
The set also includes purpose-designed alignment and cutting gauges. These allow the surrounding kit parts to be carefully levelled and the required channels to be cut with precision, without damaging delicate details such as fine cables, hinges and other small moulded features. Once prepared, the detail set can be fitted accurately into its intended position.
Smaller components are also modelled and printed separately rather than being incorporated into larger assemblies. This preserves fine detail during production and allows these parts to be installed during final assembly for a sharper and more realistic result.

Precision Levelling Gauge
The dedicated levelling gauge helps prepare the kit surface accurately before installation, allowing the surrounding area to be levelled without damaging delicate moulded details such as fine cables and hinges.
Precision Cutting Gauge
The cutting gauge provides the exact reference needed to create the required channels in the kit, making it possible to prepare the installation area accurately without relying on freehand cutting.
Accurate Aircraft Detail
The real aircraft’s structural details and characteristic features are faithfully reproduced throughout the assembly, with geometry developed specifically for the Italeri kit to provide an accurate and convincing folded-tail configuration.
Separately Printed Detail Parts
Fine components are modelled and printed separately to preserve their definition during production. They are installed during final assembly, keeping small details sharp and allowing the finished assembly to achieve a more realistic appearance.
